My blog, my thoughts!

Caution: thoughts that I needed to share!

Two questions, One: Have you ever noticed that people around you alter there lives to look perfect? I am not saying I dont do it, but I have noticed lately that some people find it necessary to completely lie to them selves to ( I guess) seem perfect to the world. I am not sure why this is happening to the extent that it is, everyones lives are different and we all know that we are not perfect, and although we strive to be, it is obvious when people try over board in this department. I am more or less needed to let who ever may read my blog know that its okay to make mistakes, its okay to have arguments, its okay for something to seem completely un-normal to the world but be normal to you. Its okay to have different styles, different views, and religions, but what it is not okay to do in my opinion is lie to yourself that completely changes the way you understand the purpose of making mistakes and learning from them. Making the same mistakes over and over is a direct reflect on your self.

Two: Do you remember any or just one of your friends that you would do anything for and yet to this day mean almost nothing to them? I am being very wise with my word choice, as i am sure everyone out there who is reading this will think it is them, but if you have a doubt then maybe there is some changing that needs to occur. Not saying in mine and your relationship but even outside relationships that you may have. I find it sad to know friends who seem not to care about you or your feelings. I know that I have in my life been this person, but for the most part I say how I feel and i don't allow anyone to alter my feelings or walk all over me, but in my past i have. I do think about this from time to time, cause if you asked me right now who would be my best friend in which I would want by my side during all the happy times and especially the bad, I could not tell you. That to me has caused me some hurt, but i have chosen not to dwell on that. As I have been taught to forgive and forget, but is it okay to feel like I have exceeded my quota in that department? I don't know if this is making sense or if you think that i am PMSing but regardless take a look at your friendships, which ones are worth the good fight and help you stand in holy places at all times.

This post is a reflection that happened on my drive back from calgary, it helped me realize that the people I allow in to my life will really impact my life and on that note I have to give a shout out. Number 1: To my sister Joni, for realizing that she is worth more than she will ever know. Number 2: To Chantel, for strengthening my testimony as she allowed me to join in her new journey in joining the LDS church! Number 3: To Kelsey, to someone who understands, and who listens. Number 4: to my dad, the person who can make a phone call into a conversation, and understands trials! I am completely am thankful and filled with love!

Thats all for now.

Good bye easy Septmeber and Hello crazy October!

Well now that I have been back in school for almost a month, I though I should catch you all up on my craziness. I am loving school but it is sure expensive, boy am i glad for student loans but oh boy I am now a frugal shopper. ( yes, my sister leslie will love me ever more for this) but this is not easy for me. I guess i could still live my same old life style but I have been surprising my self on how amazing i can be with a budget if i wanted too. To put my school expensives in perspective let me explain

Books= $ 789.23
Uniforms= $ 143.30
Stethoscope= $ 133.80
Blood Pressure Cuff= $ 58.78
Tuition= $ 2308.98

So the total of all that is $ 3434.09 and lets not all say oh, wow that is cheap because that is my expensies just until DECEMBER, and then at that time i will have to start again. But hey I am not complaining, (lol) just trying to maybe get sympathy votes. I am grateful to the government of alberta for issuing me a loan and giving me some grants, but i may start a petition that will state Channning Lyndsae Olsen will not have to pay back her loans as long as she shall live. I think I really will have a chance with that. I have included some pictures of my books, my stethoscope-(which is a bubble shape were the picture is so the camera makes it look like that but it is all even in real life, I love it) and dont hate the picture of me, i just got in from the gym. So just enjoy my busty-ness or lack of.

well that is all until next time,

BACK TO SCHOOL

So it officially has become school time again, and I am not going to lie I wish it was still summer. Although I can not complain as I have been very busy with road trips and california trips and just really enjoyed my summer. But school is for me, so I go back on the 7th. I currently as writing this from my night shift, and my last night shift at that. Or lets say my last shift in my full time position. I am now a student with a student loan and a casual job. So that means I can hit the books, gym and institute and have a normal life again.. I will miss my job dearly,I have some great friendships, but also have met some horriable people and those ones I am glad to leave behind. I am now drama free for a while. I am excited and love that I am one step closer to my goal as a nurse. I sure cant wait. my dream is my passion and my goal is to achieve it.

YAY for school starting in septemeber.....

California!

Well I did it again, I took a awesome trip to San Pedro, California. My days consisted of Sun, sun, and more sun! We did lots of amazing fun activities.. We visited the one and only Disney Land as well as the famous Getti Museum. We also took a tour of a new museum called the Skurball Culture Center, Very cool place! It is the learning center of Noah's Ark. They took quite a few religions story of Noah's Ark and created it into a children's learning play place.. It was worth while for sure... We also spent time in the pool, I found lots of games to entertain the children in the pool, as i soaked up the rays in the lounger chair. Although I had to jump into the pool every 10 minutes to cool off. I honestly have been so blessed to be in the Jacobs Kids lives... I have been watching them since josh was about 6 months old, He is now 12. It is so amazing to see what personalities they have now. They are a treat to have in my life. Never a dull moment. I have over the years developed the name Nanny Channy and it has stuck.. I am the wonderful person who cleans up, feeds them, and occupies there time. All because I love it. I love the time i spent with Stacy, Troy, Josh, Marlee, Taylor, and Nick in california and over the years...... Hope you enjoy the pictures, they are full of laughs, love and true freindship!

Grammie J

This is my Grammie J, and one of the best Grammie's known to man. I am so proud of her and think about her often. She is 92, ninety two years old and is planting a garden. not even just planting a garden she is a host, she hosts about twenty of our family member at one time and about three times a year. She truly is a blessing in our lives. She is always there and hardly asks for anything. I have been blessed to grow up next to her and my grandpa. She has always has chocolate covered almonds and fresh garden peas. As well as makes the best home made buns. My grandma is amazing, and I am so happy to be apart of her life. I called her to wish her happy birthday in January and just hearing her little voice reminded me or her strength, her wisdom, and her undying faith. She is always a treat to talk to and can make any situation better. I am here reminiscing about her and now wish i could head to Mountain View to play a game of crib. She is the crib master. Doo doo dit doo! Love ya Grandma J!

Simple!

I am guessing my blog is in need of an update. I am always so busy reading everyone else's blogs I seem to forget about mine. I have really been touched by this Family's blog I follow she is with out a doubt an amazing mother and has all these ideas and inexpensive ways of keeping her house a home and her self busy. She truly finds joy with the simplest pleasures and just being at home. I used to be a compulsive buyer and would always buy everything new and I would buy it even if i did not need it. However she has changed me, I find the hidden potential in things i have. Rearrange, reorganize and some time re-paint. She always has a heart of gold, she always ties the gospel or some spiritual thought. Reading her blog has now become an addiction. I look forward to it. I guess I want to say, that life is simple, and it can stay that way if we remember we can find simple pleasures. They just have to be uncovered. Thanks Family blog you have engaged me in simple joys!
